| ISC Computer practical expected question for this year {Here are some guess Questions} *form arrays program to print =>spiral matrix =>circularshift the array =>magic square =>sort a 2d array * Strings =>Program to count number of vowels in a sentence,no of sentences in a string and print other such details =>program to encode a string using given set of rules.Eg.write a program that will replace every character in a srting with a character which is found next to that character in your keyboard(with few asumptions and other rules..)eg. replace q with w ,t with y ,]with a asume shift is off and caps lock is off.... =>program to replace all character of a string with their ascii value or to create an array of intger that has ascii value of all characters of inputed string in proper order. =>program to sort words in a string ObJECT =>program to find difference in dates. =>ADD,substract,multiply,find conjugate of complex number after creating proper complex number object Here is a spicemen paper from ISC http://www.cisce.org/data/Specimen%20Question%20Paper/3.%20CTS-2-SPECIMEN-2010.pdf Don't try to solve too many questions and to spend too much time on computer science specially if you are preparing for some competitive exam... And remember computer practical won't be like chemistry practical where you know ... ... .... So study properly.Have a good idea of theory and then you can make any program.... |

let me make it very very clear that i have NOT Posted ANY LEAKED COMPUTER PRACTICAL paper... please read the post it is just a guess paper.... it is as significant as any model paper that u buy from market and nothing more than that... @diptojit
viva questions are very simple and are based on your program. eg. 1)What is significance of import java.io.* in your program 2)difference between if and switch 3)difference between for and while loop 4)difference between do while and while loop 5)types of comments 6)why is S capital in System.out.println 7)what are exceptions 8)types of exceptions 9)define data type 10)what is constant 11)what is meant by static 12)what are objects 13)what is a class 14)why do we have main() function 15)can two functions have same name 16)parts of for loop 17)examiner may ask you to tell what is control variable in your loop 18)difference between variable and constant 19)what are exceptions 20)what is use of throw |

| Hey just had a question....Can we write the hand-written program for the Computer practical exam in pencil....writing with the pencil is easier as mistakes can be erased without making the work look all messy...I wanted to know if it's ok.... |

| i think that you may write it with pencil first and then write it with pen later(there is lot of time to do this since practical is of 3 hrs) |

| I feel number to words conversion program will come...here's a program to convert a 4 digit number(at most) in words :-
import java.io.*; class number_words { String unit(int a)// finds unit digit word equivalent { String f=""; switch(a) { case 1:f="One"; break; case 2:f="Two"; break; case 3:f="Three";break; case 4:f="Four";break; case 5:f="Five";break; case 6:f="Six";break; case 7:f="Seven";break; case 8:f="Eight";break; case 9:f="Nine";break; case 0:f="";break; } return(f); } String tens(int b)// finds tens digit word eq. { String t=""; switch(b) { case 2:t="Twenty"; break; case 3:t="Thirty";break; case 4:t="Forty";break; case 5:t="Fifty";break; case 6:t="Sixty";break; case 7:t="Seventy";break; case 8:t="Eighty";break; case 9:t="Ninety";break; case 0:t="";break; } return(t); } String special(int c)// finds special words from 11-19 { String s=""; switch(c) { case 1:s="Eleven";break; case 2:s="Twelve";break; case 3:s="Thirteen";break; case 4:s="Fourteen";break; case 5:s="Fifteen";break; case 6:s="Sixteen";break; case 7:s="Seventeen";break; case 8:s="Eighteen";break; case 9:s="Nineteen";break; } return(s); } String two_dig(String d)// returns two digit number in words { int nm,fst,snd;String wrd; if(d.charAt(1)=='0'&&d.charAt(0)=='1') { return("Ten");}// special care if last two digits are 10 if(d.charAt(0)=='1') { nm=Character.getNumericValue(d.charAt(1)); wrd=special(nm);// invoke speical if first digit is 1 } else { fst=Character.getNumericValue(d.charAt(0)); snd=Character.getNumericValue(d.charAt(1)); wrd=tens(fst)+" "+unit(snd); } return(wrd); } void main()throws IOException { InputStreamReader read=new InputStreamReader(System.in); BufferedReader in=new BufferedReader(read); int n,ln;String str,str1="",word="";String cnt;String hnd;String th; System.out.println("Enter N"); n=Integer.parseInt(in.readLine()); str=Integer.toString(n);// converting to String ln=str.length(); String h="Hundred"; if(ln==1)// for one digit number { word=unit(n);} if(ln==2)// for two digit number { word=two_dig(str);} if(ln==3)// for three digit number { str1=str1+str.charAt(ln-2)+str.charAt(ln-1);// adding last two digits cnt=two_dig(str1);// getting word equivalent of last two digits hnd=unit(Character.getNumericValue(str.charAt(0)));// getting number of hundreds word=hnd+" "+"Hundred"+" "+cnt;// adding in reverse order } if(ln==4)// for four digit number { str1=str1+str.charAt(ln-2)+str.charAt(ln-1);// adding last two digits cnt=two_dig(str1); if(str.charAt(1)=='0')// not to print "Hundred" if hundred's place is 0 { h="";} hnd=unit(Character.getNumericValue(str.charAt(1)));// getting number of hundreds th=unit(Character.getNumericValue(str.charAt(0)));//getting number of thousands word=th+" "+"Thousand "+hnd+" "+h+" "+cnt; } System.out.println(word);// printing result } }
