1.damodar valley is known as d ruhr of india. Very Happy

2.in east!!!!pittsburgh is a city in USA.ahhhhhhh....its very famous for its steel n technology.so may b d answer is jamshedpur.well its a wild guess as_24.dont rely on it completely.

are you asking, its easy to harness the rivers of south india for hydroelectricity?

my answer....as_24 is right.

1) The south rivers do not freeze as they are near the equator
2) The rivers are fast flowing, coz they flow through uneven deccan plateau, thereby making many rapids and waterfalls, fit for HEP dams.
3) it receives heavy rainfall from the southwest monsoons. thus plenty of water is available.
