1)electoral college is d body dat elects d president of india. It comprises of d elcted MLA'S ND MP'S and also d elected memberes of the legislative assemblies excluding all d nominated members of d lako sabha n rajya sabha +legislative assemblies!!!!

3. In the United Nations Security council, the five permanent members the US, Russia, the China, France and the UK, have veto power in substantive matters, though not in procedural ones. If any of these countries votes against a proposal, it is rejected, This is veto pwer.. Very Happy

i dont reely hav exact definitions...but its as per my knowledge

electoral college...i disagree wid wat u ppl hav written..its not just 4 d electn of d president..its basically a group of electors who ..elect...a candidate 2 an office...it mayb d president, vice president,etc

republican govt: a govt by d people, from d people and 4 the people...

veto..as midhun said..

amendment is a change...a constitutional amendment will b a chang in d constitution...

act...well...a bill becomes an act wen passed by both houses of the parliament nd after the president givs his assent...

no midhun...a vice president electn involves only the houses of d union parliament and not d state assemblies...so...the electoral college consists of d union parliament only in dis case while in case of d president it consists of d union parliament n state assemblies...so...wat i want 2 say is dat it is variable n not specific..it depends on d person u r votin 4 by indirect electn..
